About
Gronk is a London-based musician, singer and songwriter and is, by any standards, immensely prolific, having penned some 300-odd songs over the last decade.
Drawing on a diverse range of influences—including Dylan, My Bloody Valentine, Babybird, Nick Cave, Bruce Springsteen, Mogwai and The Cure—Gronk's music embraces the full range from acoustic love-songs to full blown rock epics, but is characterised by strong tunes and imaginative and, often, devastatingly introspective lyrics.
Gronk also leads Carnival of Souls, a gigging four-piece rock band with a substantial following around the larger London pub venues.
In 2002, their first album, Unit 13, was released on Pumpkin Records, and is available to buy through the iTunes Store or through CD Baby.
As a classically-trained musician with the ability to play by ear, Gronk has played with a number of bands as a session musician—on both keyboards and guitar—and, memorably for him, once appeared on Top Of The Pops in this capacity.
Despite writing and playing with The Souls in London for the last six years, Gronk has never stopped composing his own material. Some tracks are experimental, some would not fit with the band's style and some are very intimate but, as long as he continues to write his own material, then you will be the first to hear it here.
In the meantime, should you wish to utilise his considerable talents, please feel free to email him.
